National Tent House’s Relief Mission Amidst Pakistan’s Flood Crisis

In response to the devastating flash floods in Pakistan (2022) that swept across Sindh and Balochistan, National Tent House (NTH) demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility by extending a helping hand to the affected communities. According to National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan (NDMA) an estimation of 33 million people- that is, one in seven- have been affected by the floods, including nearly 8 million displaced. Additionally, these floods have also taken the precious lives of more than 1700 individuals. As per the World Bank disaster assessment report the total damage is estimated to be at PKR 3.2 Trillion (US$14.9 Billion) with housing sector to be suffered the most at PKR 1.2 Trillion (US $5.6 billion). Recognizing the urgent need for shelter and warmth, the company took swift action by donating tents and blankets to those grappling with the aftermath of the natural disaster. This donation will have a direct positive impact on lives of 50,000 individuals providing them shelter and protection from the harsh weather.
