On February 6, 2023, Turkey recorded a catastrophic earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale, affecting both Turkey and Syria. It affected 15 million people across 10 provinces, leaving them in dire need of necessities, with a tragic loss of 56,697 lives. This disaster had far-reaching humanitarian and socio-economic impacts in both regions.
Our Extensive Relief Operations In Turkey And Syria
In response to the critical humanitarian crises in Turkey and Syria, National Tent House provided more than 15,000 Tents and 500,000 Blankets, along with Jerry Cans and Water Buckets. The first shipment, consisting of 5000 UNHCR Standard Fire Retardant Family Tents , 100,000 High Thermal Blankets, and 57,000 Semi Collapsible Jerry Cans, was swiftly transported through chartered flights, from our readily available stock for immediate dispatch.
To further meet the urgent needs of shelter and medical treatments for displaced families, NTH supplied IOM/IFRC standard Multipurpose Tents and UNICEF Standard High Performance Tents (HPT Tent). Our rapid response provided essential supplies and a glimmer of hope to the affected families.
