NTH’s Visit to UNHCR’s Dubai Warehouse

The National Tent House (NTH) team was invited to the Dubai Humanitarian Suppliers Conference held at Dubai Humanitarian Centre of Knowledge and Development. The event brought together significant representatives from leading humanitarian organizations including the IFRC, UNHCR, and the World Food Program.

The conference featured enlightening conversations from key officials, including Mr. Ben Safari, Head of Sustainability from UNHCR, Mr. Fabrizio Bertora, Chief Procurement Section from UNHCR, Mr. Walid Ibrahim from UNHRD, Mr. Giuseppe Saba, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, who shed light on pressing issues in the global humanitarian circle.

UNHCR Warehouse Visit

After the conference, NTH’s team was honored with a visit to the UNHCR office and warehouse in Dubai. Various key individuals from procurement, supply chain and sustainability teams welcomed the visit, and it initiated further valuable discussions about the future of sustainability, balance and product development in the humanitarian sector.

Our tour of the warehouse was particularly memorable and a proud moment for us. As we walked through the aisles, we noticed NTH-manufactured supplies, such as tents and blankets, neatly packed on racks, ready for deployment in emergency situations. This sight gave us a fresh sense of purpose, knowing that our efforts go directly to global aid operations.

The National Tent House has proudly collaborated with the United Nations for over 50 years. Throughout our long-standing partnership, we have co-created a variety of relief products, including tents, blankets, collapsible jerry cans and water buckets to provide relief to refugees all around the world.

From being recognized as the UN’s largest supplier by value in 2009 to receiving acknowledgements for outstanding delivery and packaging in 2022, NTH remains committed to making a positive impact.

This visit to the UNHCR warehouse not only strengthened our commitment to maintaining the best quality in our products, but it also increased our desire to continue contributing to worldwide humanitarian efforts. It increased our passion to create innovative solutions that will play an important role in assisting individuals affected by global disasters.
